Mrs. Katie Santana

Katie Santana is the Senior Director, Instruction for Florida Virtual School (FLVS). She oversees the daily operations of instruction, including FLVS Full Time, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and Student Services, academic integrity, virtual learning labs, blended learning communities, FlexPoint Virtual School, and all other instructional lines of business. As a member of the President & CEO’s Senior Leadership team, she participates in the school’s overall strategy, planning, and delivery.

Mrs. Santana, who has more than 20 years of educational experience, joined FLVS in 2006. During her years of service with FLVS, Mrs. Santana has held many roles within the organization including instructor, instructional leader, assistant principal, principal, and Director of Instruction for FLVS Full Time Public Schools.

Mrs. Santana has a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Florida State University. She also holds Principal and Educational Leadership certifications.
